Consignment terms

The stock stays yours
Consignment means title never passes to us. We take your stock into our warehouse, sell it on your behalf and account to you for what it makes. It is your property the whole time we hold it.
Insurance
Because the stock remains your property, it stays on your insurance while it is with us. Speak to your insurer before you send anything so you know exactly where you stand.
Everything sells
Our sell through rate is one hundred percent. Anything that will not sell on its own is bundled with other stock until it does. Nothing is returned to you unsold.
Nothing to pay to start
There is no fee to send stock in, no minimum quantity and no tie in. We earn only when your stock sells. If it does not sell, we have not earned.
What we take
eBay fees come off the sale first. Our share is taken after that, never before. What you keep depends on what the item sells for.
- •Sells for under £20, you keep 50%
- •Sells for £20 to £100, you keep 60%
- •Sells for over £100, you keep 70%
Postage
The buyer pays the postage on top of what the item sells for. It never comes out of your money.
How your stock is sold
Consigned stock is sold live on our eBay UK channels, in public, where anyone can watch it happen. It is never bagged up and sold blind in a mystery box. Anything too small to be worth selling on its own is bundled with other stock rather than charged back to you.
Reporting and settlement
You get a login showing what landed, what each pallet made, what is left and what you are owed. We report by the pallet rather than by the item. Settlement is regular, with a statement showing what sold and what came off it.
Anything else
Collection, timescales and anything specific to your stock is agreed with you directly before it arrives. Nothing here is a substitute for that conversation.
Questions about any of this go to sales@robertscotts.com.
